This page is to document BC seine boats including some historic boats. I have given a bit of info on each one but please do add your comments with more stories of builders, owners or crew of each boat. For BC seiners that I have missed please sent pictures to me that you have the rights for or that you have taken. They will go on a separate page. It would be nice to get a pic of each boat. please credit the site and Alan Haig-Brown if you want to use any.

- Ante B: built John Manly 1978, owner 2010 Sandyne Fishing Ltd, 1
- Arctic Warrior was built in 1971 by Watts Marine of Delta BC.
- Argent Fisher: This is the last of the Coal Harbour fuel scows. Argent Fisher built by John Manly Ltd. 1976 owned by Ocean Fisheries and Anzulovich Fisheries
- Argent No. 1: built Thompson Bros. 1977. Sold to US April 2012

- Autumn Winds: Built Frostad, 1972, was owned by Blair Pearl, maybe black cod boat
- Avisa, built 1926 in Victoria at Yarrows, Thomas Assu was skipper on herring in the winter of 1960/61, reduction for $8.80 per ton.

- BCP45: 1927, donated by Archie Chickite and beautifully rebuilt by Beaufort Haines as a museum display at Maritime Center in Campbell River, BC
- Belina: Built 1951 by A.C. Benson Shipyards, Coal Hbr, Vancouver, BC onwed by Benedet Fishing Ltd.
- Bering Sea: Built 1959 by John Manly Ltd, New Westminster
- Bernice C: Built Shore Boat 1976
- Bold Contender: Built 1974 Gooldrup Hulls at Campbell River
- Bold Performance: Black cod boat entering Vancouver Harbour, Build 1979 at Allied Shipyards
- Bold Pursuit: Built Shore 1978, skipper in 2010 Elvis Chickite, owner Diamond Fishing 21 shares and Snow Drift Fishing Ltd
- Caamano Sound built Star Shipyards of New Westminster in 1960
- Canadian Shore: built by Al Renke’s Shore Boatbuilders as a seiner in 1989, it was converted to a yacht in 2002.
- Cape Mark (Star Shipyard ’43), W No.9 (Menchions ’26), Eastland (Westcoast Salvage ’46), Blue Pacific No.1 (Mercers ’57), Kitlup (Sterling’48) at the Canfisco Scow, early ’90s
- Cape Ball: built 1926 Hoffar Marine, Vancouver
- Cape Devon: 1950 Sister to the Cape Ross, Cape Chacon and others that were built iat Canfico’s Sterling Shipyard in Vancouver. Off Canadian Registry 2011.
- Cape Flattery: built 1989 by Shore Boatbuilders, Richmond BC. Owned by Jim Pattison Sold US 2011
- Cape Freeman: Built 1974 by Goldrup, fiberglass. owned 50% by Jim Pattison
- Cape George: Built 1940 by West Coast Salvage & Contracting, Vancouver, BC
- Cape Morien built by Al Renke’s Shore boat builders for an east coast trawl fisherman who had moved to BC. Canadian registry closed Jan 16, 2013. Not yet on US registry (March 2013)
- Cape Spruce: Built 1987 by Shore Boats, Richmond. Owned Jim Pattison
- Cape Stephen built by Matsumoto in 1973, owned 2012 Jim Pattison 48/64 Shares & Deas Island Enterprise with 16 shares
- Chief Takush owned by Simon Beans, Alert Bay buit by Harbour Boatbuilders in 1929 for Jack Fiamengo
- Chief Tapeet built 1930 in Prince Rupert, aken off Canadian registry in 2001, this photo in 1990s at False Creek
- Chilco Lake, sister to Quesnel Lake, built 1951 by Star. Shipyards. Wood hull encased in aluminum to the water line.
- Dedication: Ex Canadian seiner Pacific Challenger, built Delta BC in 1973, now owned by Nick Zuanich of Bellingham WA
- Delta Harvester: built John Manly 1979
- Denman Isle: built John Manly Shipyard 1981, owner Jim Pattison Ent. 33 shares and Radic Enterprises Ltd. 31 shares, entering False Creek prior to 2009 herring season
- Diligence: Built 1972 by Pelagic Pacific Industries
- Discovery Dawn: Built 1979 by John Manly Shipyard
- Dover B: built 1936, by Menchions in Vancouver, BC Halibut Boat northbound in Discovery Passage
- Elva M No. 2 built 1927 by Y. Nakede, Steveston BC
- Enterprise: Built as a seiner by Mike Gooldrup for “Hutch” Hunt in 1989. This photo taken in 1990s just after conversion to long liner
- Eskimo: built 1941 by Matusmoto, At the Gov’t dock in Sooke the Eskimo was built in Pr. Rupert Now in USA
- Florence No. 2 was built as a fishing boat by Star Shipyard in 1946
- Franciscan No.1: Built 1978 by John Manly Shipyard, Vancouver
- George McKay built 1971 by Matsumoto Shipyards and owned 2012 by Jim Pattison
- Haida Girl built 1989 by A.B.D. Aluminum Boats and owned by Ted Assu
- Haida Warrior: built about 1951 by Geoffrey White at Masset Haida Gwaii, no longer on register
- Holly Ann built 1974 by Matsumoto
- Island Spirit II aluminum purse seiner off Roberts Bank mid Septmber. Owner Baines Fishing Ltd. Galiano Island Built 1989 by Alu-Craft Products Ltd., Surrey, 540 HP
- Island Warrior built 1978 by Tri Star Marine Services (a Wahl partnership)in Port Hammond, BC now owned by Ed Lande
- Lions Gate: Built 1938 by U. Miyobuchi at Lower Capilano owned 2012 by Galen Isham Plumley of Tofino
- Lofoten II was built in 1977 by Sather Boat Works in New Westminter. She has been much modified and is rigged for tuna
- Lori Cathlynn built in Ladner 1952 by Mario Tarabochia, owned 2012 Steve Carpenter
- Ocean Marauder: Built at John Manley 1978, powered by a Cummins KTA38 main engine, owned by John Lenic
- Marine Star no longer registered in Canada as of March 2011
